Setting the scene

Globethics is a global foundation championing ethical leadership, engaging audiences from university students to world leaders. But their website wasn’t keeping pace. With content scattered and hard to navigate, both users and staff struggled to find what they needed. They needed a site that was clear, intuitive, and inspiring for everyone.

The challenge

Globethics does a lot; events, conferences, courses, publications, consulting, and policy guidance. The challenge was how do you create a single platform that speaks effectively to such a diverse audience?

The old site was slow, confusing, and difficult to maintain. Large drop-down menus buried key content, security vulnerabilities lingered, and internal teams spent more time wrestling with the system than sharing knowledge.

We had to build a site that guides users effortlessly, highlights Globethics’ mission, and gives staff a flexible, easy-to-manage platform.

SystemSeed helped transform our online presence with a beautifully designed new website optimised for user experience.

The animation shows a cursor selecting 'Strategy' from the 'About us' dropdown menu, opening and flipping through a digital document, and then returning to the homepage to interact with the 'Our 4 priorities' section, where hovering over different tabs reveals dynamic content images.

The solution

We started with deep discovery with stakeholder interviews, research, and a week-long workshop with stakeholders responsible for each user group. Together, we mapped the user journeys, pinpointed priorities, and redesigned navigation to make every visit intuitive.

We then translated Globethics’ global strategy into a site that clearly communicated its focus areas and invited communities to engage in their areas of expertise.

On the technical side, Drupal became our backbone for its security, flexibility, and performance. Seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) allowed users to register for events, enrol in courses, and purchase publications, all without leaving a cohesive platform experience.

Three side-by-side screenshots of the "Globethics" mobile website interface. Left Screen: Displays a publication titled "Pathways to Inclusion: Advancing Civil Society’s Role in AI Governance" by Paola Gálvez Callirgos. It features an image of the book cover showing a blue digital globe and a yellow button at the bottom labeled "Download it for free." Middle Screen: Shows an "Impact" section with statistics, listing "3,500,000+ downloads of certified publications," "18,280+ people trained in ethics," and "412+ institutions worldwide." Below the stats is a section for "Globethics hubs" listing locations for the Americas and Africa hubs. Right Screen: An event page for the "International Conference Global Ethics Forum 2025." It features a banner image of a diverse audience with the text "Reinventing Responsible Governance." Below are details listing the location as Varembé Conference Centre, Geneva, Switzerland; the date as 8-10 Oct 2025; and the language as English. A yellow "View event" button is at the bottom.
The Globethics site is now clear, informative and actionable on all devices.

The outcomes

The new site is clean, fast, and user-friendly. Audiences can find what they need in seconds, and staff can manage content easily. Globethics now has a digital platform that matches the scale and impact of their global mission.

The results speak for themselves, with over a 60% increase in engagement across important areas of the site…

  • 70% increase in event views
  • 150% increase in time spent on site resources
