SystemSeed client, Concern Worldwide, designated charity of the year

We're pleased to share that Concern Worldwide have recently won the Charity of the Year prize at the Charity Excellence Awards in Ireland.

Winners announcement, delivered online at the CII 2020 Conference

SystemSeed has been working with Concern Worldwide for over 10 years, and we've seen them have a huge impact over that time.

Last year, Concern helped 28.6 million people and responded to 82 emergencies, including cyclones, droughts and locust infestations. They are a repeat winner of governance and transparency awards in Ireland.

They were also nominated for the Big Impact 2020 award (won by belongto.org).

2020 has been a difficult year for the whole charity sector as the COVID-19 pandemic came on top of environmental and humanitarian crises. However, Concern has managed to do great things in this time, despite these challenges and increased unemployment in their donor communities.

In fact, Concern have even managed to grow their donations revenue during 2020. We wrote about how they've been doing this through the alternative gifts site that we built for them here.

We also won two Splash Awards in 2019 for our work with Concern, both the Social Impact Site of the Year, and Website of the Year.

We're really proud to support Concern Worldwide, and be a part of the amazing work that they do.
